What parking service and provider should you choose?

There are predominantly three types of parking providers to be found at airports in the UK.

These are Park and Ride (Shuttle services), Meet and Greet (Valet services), and Park and Stroll (Car parks close enough to the airport that you can walk).

Park and Ride

Shuttle services are an excellent option for those looking to travel on a tight budget. Usually found within a 10-minute drive of the airport, these services are simple to use.

You drive to the car park, park in your allocated spot, and then take the complimentary shuttle to the terminal. Some operators provide on-demand shuttles, while others provide a shuttle running at regular intervals. Help with your luggage will be provided either way.

Some of these Park and Ride operators offer extra services such as car washing and detailing.

Meet and Greet

Meet and Greet valet services are an exceptional choice for those looking for the most convenient option. You can park directly at the terminal, where a member of the operator will meet you and whisk your car away to the car park.

Upon your return, your car will be waiting for you outside of baggage claim. This is the perfect choice for those in a rush, or searching for simple convenience.

Park and Walk

So how does it work?

1. Search for your airport

Simply type in the airport where you are flying from, and select your departure and return dates. Next, select the type of parking service you are looking for. Is it covered or uncovered?

Do you want Park and Ride (shuttle services) or Meet and Greet (valet services)? 

After that, you can input the filters to narrow down the best option for you.

2. Book the car park online

Once you have made your decision, you can reserve your parking spot. With no reservation fees, you are guaranteed the lowest price.

Once your payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with all the relevant information you need for your trip.

3. Park your car

Depending on your selected service, we recommend the following. If you choose Park and Ride services, then we recommend you arrive 20-30 minutes before the time you would like to be at the terminal. 

With the Meet and Greet services, we suggest calling the operator 30 minutes before you arrive at the terminal to ensure they will have a valet waiting for you.

With the Park and Walk services, you should check the distance that you need to walk to the terminal. However, 15 minutes of leeway is recommended for finding a parking spot and walking with your luggage.
